THE APPRENTICE BEST BITS

9PM, BBC1 ★★★★ For 15 years now, the show has given us countless laughs, made us cringe and often just bemused us as contestants tried to impress Alan Sugar. Each series has had its own highlights – and truly amazing soundbites – so in place of a new series this year, You’re Fired! host Tom Allen is giving us the best bits, with help from Lord Sugar, Karren Brady and Claude Littner (right). Part one of six reminds us of some unforgettable people, such as joyful Kayode from series 14, relentless Elizabeth from series 13 and the late Stuart ‘the brand’ Baggs from series six.

THE GRAND PARTY HOTEL

8PM, BBC1 ★★★

Owners Katie and Lawrence, locally dubbed Posh and Becks – they are rather glam – live at the Shankly, so staff always have to be on form. Trainee James has his hands full with lively stags and hens, but his attitude can be shocking. Also, Mel is hosting a very fun Mad Hatter’s tea party, but will it impress perfectionist Katie?

HOW TO BEAT – FAT

8PM, CH4 ★★★

Do you watch what you eat? The average Brit starts and fails 189 diets in their lifetime, so you’re not alone. This show explores ways to lose weight – and keep it off. Kate Quilton learns why plant-based diets are being used in sport, and Dr Javid Abdelmoneim discovers why men diet best in a team. It’s quite eye-opening.
