NCIS

-

9PM, 5 USA ★★★

Sloane’s long-simmering back story – her torture in Afghanistan – comes to the fore in the new-to-freeview season 15 finale of this still strong show. The NCIS agent (Maria Bello, left) is on a date when she spies one of her captors; then, she goes rogue, and events build to a cliffhanger – but never fear, the show will return.

THE WALKING DEAD

9PM, FOX ★★★★

The Covid-delayed season finale carries the cheery title A Certain Doom, but there are glimmers of hope amid the sacrifice and death as the horde converge on the survivors (including Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, left). The extras playing the zombies get way more screen time than usual here.

HEY TRACEY!

10PM, ITV2 ★★★ The return of this strange and creative game show in which familiar faces, such as Christine Mcguinness (left) and Roman Kemp, cold-call firms in search of the answers to questions. They are ‘helped’ by Tracey, a crass digital assistant – imagine Max Headroom by way of Geordie Shore. Joel Dommett hosts this endearing madness. RW
