● Born in New York City on March 28, 1981, Julia O’hara Stiles began acting at the age of 11, and made her screen debut in the US television show Ghostwrite­r in 1993. Her first bigscreen role was in the Jude Law movie I Love You, I Love You Not in 1996, followed by a leading role in the thriller Wicked (1998).

● She became a teen icon after starring in hit movies such as 1999’s 10 Things I Hate About You – a modern-day high-school version of The Taming Of The Shrew – and the 2001 culturecla­sh romance Save The Last Dance.

● Grown-up roles followed, among them appearance­s in The Bourne

Identity (2002) and three sequels, including Jason Bourne (2015). Her most recent big-screen appearance was opposite Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers (2019).

● Columbia Off screen, University she graduated in 2005 from with a degree in English literature. Married to cameraman and former actor Preston J. Cook, she gave birth to son Strummer on October 20, 2017.

● On TV, she earned both Golden Globe and Emmy Award nomination­s for her role in the serial-killer drama Dexter (2010).

● The first series of Riviera was released in 2017 and was Sky’s most successful original series.
