7.30PM, ITV ★★★★ The complaints over Diversity’s powerful dance routine, as well as Amanda Holden’s wardrobe, have stolen all the headlines this year, so as tonight’s final arrives, it’s the turn of the acts to shine. The lineup promises music, magic, comedy and dance – before it’s time for viewers to decide.

BONE DETECTIVES: BRITAIN’S BURIED SECRETS

8PM, CH4 ★★★★

Near Runcorn in Cheshire lies the most excavated monastic site in Europe. The remains of Norton Priory were first investigated in 1971, as part of a community project, and the results are a treasure trove of finds that include bones revealing stories of medieval knights, disease and murder.

8.10PM, BBC1 ★★★★★ Ahead of the start of this year’s contest next week, this last in the series of highlights episodes focuses on the glitterball glories of previous finals. Judges and dancers celebrate their favourite performances and some spectacular comebacks. SIMONE ANDREWS
