Summer Holiday (Friday) Cliff Richard’s co-star Melvyn Hayes recalls how driving the double decker bus in the film was a bit of an ordeal: ‘They didn’t teach us for more than half an hour, so it would have been hard enough on British roads. Coming round bends on the cliffs of Greece? You can imagine!’ Happily, no actors, or pop singers, were harmed in the making of the film.
