Heroes on the high seas

Celebrities seem to present most shows these days, but the main appeal of Saving Lives At Sea on BBC2 is that the stories are told by the brave RNLI volunteers (pictured) who put their lives at risk to save people who are often moments from death. We see for ourselves how every second counts, and it’s incredible to watch the relief on people’s faces as they’re pulled out of an icy ocean.
