THE VICAR OF DIBLEY IN LOCKDOWN
8.50PM, BBC1 ★★★★
The first of three new specials which, while only ten minutes apiece, are likely to elicit more laughs than some feature films. They’re styled as sermons, given by vicar Geraldine (Dawn French, right) over Zoom, which also doesn’t sound promising – we’ve all had more than enough Zoom – but, as Staged proved, if the writing is good (and it is here), it just doesn’t matter. There’s a lot packed in here, from riffs on familiar characters to a tricky chat with the village children, plus an appearance for James Fleet as Hugo.
FIND IT, FIX IT, FLOG IT
3PM, CH4 ★★★
Henry Cole and Simon O’brien are digging through old sheds again in a new series of the show in which unwanted items are transformed into things people might buy. On the Isle of Wight, the duo find multiple sheds groaning with military miscellany, and set about turning old bits of a tank into hanging baskets.
CORONATION STREET: 60 UNFORGETTABLE YEARS
8.30PM, ITV ★★★★ Joanna Lumley narrates a salute to the world’s longestrunning TV soap opera, with insider stories from Barbara Knox, Jimmi Harkishin, Jack P. Shepherd and Corrie legend William Roache, to name but four. At 10pm on ITV3, you can see a 28-year-old Roache in the very first episode, from 1960.
INSIDE POUNDLAND

Filmed in the wake of the first national lockdown, this new two-parter presents a cheery portrait of high-street success for ‘little old Poundland, swimming against the tide’. RACHEL KHOO’S CHOCOLATE SPECIAL
7PM, FOOD NETWORK ★★★
The chef (left) puts a chocolate twist on familiar festive recipes such as mince pies, eggnog and gingerbread. This new one-off is a preamble to an entirely chocolate-centred series that’s due to arrive on the on demand service discovery+ in January.
AMERICA’S TOP DOG
8PM, SKY HISTORY ★★★
This is the kind of show the Americans do better than anyone else. Everyone is giving it their best in this ‘ultimate canine competition’, which sees a mix of police and civilian human-dog teams tackling obstacles that mimic real-life law enforcement situations. Continues daily.
EUPHORIA: TROUBLE DON’T LAST ALWAYS
9PM, SKY ATLANTIC ★★★ Zendaya picked up an Emmy Award for her starring role as Rue (left) in HBO’S graphic teen drama, and she’s still the best reason to watch as it returns for a new special. The story picks up right after the cliffhanger, when Rue left Jules at the station.
