THE TOE BRO

-

9PM, REALLY ★★ Fans of gross-out shows such as Dr Pimple Popper should find entertainment in the real-life cases of the Toe Bro – aka the Canadian chiropodist Jonathan (left) – in this new-to-freeview series. Anyone else should steer clear as, while Jonathan is a chirpy sort, the bloody images of his work are not for the squeamish.

THE EMILY ATACK SHOW

10PM, ITV2 ★★★

Sketch shows don’t come along too often because they’re expensive and hard to write, and this twist on the format has been a bold and admirably energetic roll of the dice. In tonight’s last episode, Emily (left) muses about growing up, avoiding which is what the whole series has been about.

CHRISTMAS

The two-part return of a scripted sitcom that uses the real home, real lives and real child of grumpy funnyman Jon Richardson and his wife, fellow comedian Lucy Beaumont (left). The plot is irrelevant – the fun of this is in watching them arguing about Christmas trees and such. RW
