LOCKDOWN? WE’VE NEVER COOKED SO MUCH!

Christmas will have added lustre for Marco’s family this year, because of the lockdowns that have preceded it. ‘Covid has been a disaster, but the one great positive is that it has brought families closer and reignited family values,’ he says. ‘Hopefully we’ve learned to appreciate each other and not take each other for granted. One thing I can say, we’ve never eaten so much and cooked so much together!

‘And who knows what will unravel next year? Remember that the Roaring Twenties, that decade of economic growth and prosperity, followed the First World War and the great flu pandemic of 1919. So 100 years on there might be new opportunities out there after the Covid pandemic. Let’s hope so!’
