I started acting at Laurence Olivier’s National Theatre and had film and TV roles, but I’m best known for Blue Peter. I took over from John Noakes as the daredevil action man. This is me with co-presenters Caron Keating, Mark Curry and Janet Ellis. There was a real benevolence to Blue Peter, and it was the first show to raise money for others; now the whole industry is doing it.
