The Who Attacked Ian? debate continues, with the cops displaying their usual incompetence. There are several people in the frame, and when Ian receives a bullet in the post, it’s clear somebody wants him dead. Blimey, that lays the field right open. Will the CCTV footage from the Minute Mart reveal anything – apart from Suki again attempting her Lady Macbeth impression?

To celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary, a live episode (pictured) saw a massive tram crash which tragically killed two residents, brought on a premature birth, and revealed the true paternity of a baby conceived during an affair.

15 YEARS AGO – EMMERDALE

Debbie Dingle gave her baby, Sarah Sugden, to Emily Kirk, who’d been looking after the baby while Debbie struggled with motherhood. Emily left the village with Sarah (pictured, with Emily), and Debbie’s father Cain failed to find them.

20 YEARS AGO – EASTENDERS

Secretive Eddie Skinner had arrived in Walford for his Aunt Ethel’s funeral, but was being blackmailed by former jail cellmate Nick Cotton. Eddie was forced to admit his prison past to Pauline Fowler (pictured with Eddie) before Nick told her.
