Miles Jupp, a big fan of Father Christmas, takes a look at some of the letters sent to Santa that are held in the Postal Museum in London and in a post office in the Arctic Circle. Some letters are sad, others charming, but all of them reflect the times they were written in, including a 19thcentury letter from a child whose father had died of smallpox, and a recent request from a young lad ‘for a Covid-killing machine’.
