1.30PM, PBS AMERICA ★★★★★ ‘Country music is three chords and the truth,’ said songwriter Harlan Howard. This history of the genre is necessarily more complicated than that, but coming as it does from the masterly Ken Burns, it’s top-tier stuff, and full of familiar faces such as Dolly Parton (left) and Emmylou Harris.
