Des O’connor: The Ultimate Entertainer on ITV was a really fascinating look at his career, going from a Butlins redcoat to a consummate entertainer. His friends Morecambe and Wise mocked his singing, so it was amusing to find out Des [pictured] actually wrote some of those jokes himself. He was clearly a great family man who was loved by everyone he worked with.
