9PM, BBC2 ★★★★ Cameraman Gordon Buchanan’s wildlife adventures have become an annual tradition since his 2011 series, The Bear Family & Me. Over the years, he has highlighted the plight of endangered species around the world; this time, he is in South Africa to experience first-hand the very real dangers facing local cheetahs. His base is the stunning Kalahari, where two cheetah mothers, Savannah and Chili, are trying to raise their cubs in a harsh environment, where dangerous wildlife and dwindling prey make life extremely difficult.
