LAST-MINUTE TULIPS Tulips planted now will make a good display. If you’re leaving them in the ground, plant at least 10cm deep. If you just want a good show, pop them 5cm into the topsoil. With containers, ensure with some urgency that they have good drainage to avoid rotting in damp soil.
