Nick Henshall (pictured) set fire to Victoria Cottage planning to rescue the occupants and be hailed a hero, but he panicked when it began to spread and watched from afar. Katie Sugden was among those rescued, but Viv Hope and Terry Woods died.

15 YEARS AGO – EASTENDERS

Rosie Miller started an affair with her ex Mike Swann and planned to leave husband Keith, taking children Darren and Demi and granddaughter Aleesha with her. However, Rosie (pictured) got cold feet and Mike left the Square on his own.

20 YEARS AGO – CORRIE

After workshy Les Battersby passed his test to drive taxis, Street Cars owners Steve Mcdonald and Vik Desai pretended they couldn’t afford to employ him. But when Les (pictured) learned they were actually desperate for drivers, Steve agreed to give him a trial.
