10PM, CH4 ★★★★ After a lengthy wait, we have more action from the darkly funny sitcom starring Peep Show’s Robert Webb and David Mitchell (right). The first series, which aired more than three years ago, saw foster brothers Stephen (Mitchell) and Andrew (Webb) trying to run their late father’s pub together. This second outing begins with a refreshed Stephen returning from a facility, having been worn down by narcissist Andrew – who himself is growing weary of the day-to-day. But will the opening of a new pub change things for them? And who are their rivals trying to poach?

There’s mystery in the air as a lottery winner is murdered – then, her body disappears! Kelvin Fletcher plays her stunned husband, with Jason Manford as their friend – but does either man know what happened? Neville and the team are on the case, but J.P. is distracted by new officer Marlon – and a new baby.

In this new series, quiz boffins Anne Hegerty, Shaun Wallace and Mark Labbett head off on the road together to explore the origins of intelligence. The charming trio first visit the US to learn about animal intellect, pitting their wits against bonobo apes and dolphins.

ROBSON GREEN: WALKING COAST TO COAST

The Romans were far from home on our shores, and so it’s no surprise they developed comforts to see them through. In part two, Robson visits a spa at Chesters Fort on Hadrian’s Wall, and some once enviable latrines. He also samples natural cuisine, and fits in a fishing contest. TESSA JONES
