They might not be royalty, but they are uppermiddle-class. Just how tricky was it for them to fit in? And is being part of the royal orbit the fairytale it appears to be?

In this new, ten-part series, Raymond will be rustling up simple yet delicious dishes from the kitchen of Le Manoir aux Quat’saisons, the Oxfordshire hotel-restaurant where he is chef patron. Joining him in the kitchen in the first episode is Angela Hartnett, who will be cooking cep tagliatelle for her old friend.

SECRETS OF THE ROYAL PALACES

This episode visits Highgrove in Gloucestershire, home to eco-warrior Prince Charles, who designed the house’s hard-working organic garden. Kate Williams also takes us on a tour of Kensington Palace to describe the harsh house rules which the young Queen Victoria had to follow.

This week sees a grisly return for the see-it-coming accident of the week, involving Marty’s dad, Graham. And while many patients celebrate the efforts of the Holby team during the pandemic, another visitor has terrifying and sinister plans – and to Connie’s great distress, it’s Jacob who’s in the firing line.
