PICK OF THE DAY
SUSAN CALMAN’S GRAND DAY OUT IN WALES
8PM, CH5 ★★★★ The penultimate stop on the comedian’s big trip around the country sees Susan (right) exploring the lovely, remote coasts of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. Setting off from Cardigan, she takes to the water of the Teifi river in an unusual boat, and very bravely goes cliff jumping!
She also tries laverbread, a traditional delicacy made with seaweed, and visits the home of poet Dylan Thomas. In an exciting finale, Susan’s vintage camper van, Helen, nobly tries to set a speed record at Pendine Sands.
NOT GOING OUT
8.05PM, BBC1 ★★★★ Geoffrey is applying military precision to get the family to the airport in time to visit the Normandy war graves, though that’s not easy with Frank involved. But a passport mixup leads to a big revelation about Lucy’s mum, Wendy. So, can she keep her family secrets buried? And what on earth is Frank about to share?
DEATH IN PARADISE
9PM, BBC1 ★★★★ In the conclusion of the special two-parter, Camille (Sara Martins) arrives back on Saint Marie to see her mum and lend a hand with the investigation. As the team try to crack this complex murder case, the danger is not over, and Neville must solve a mystery from the past in order to find out who killed Pasha – and why.
THE WORLD’S MOST SCENIC RAILWAY JOURNEYS
9PM, CH5 ★★★ From a meteor crater to the top of the highest mountain in Germany, this train ride across Bavaria offers some genuinely awe-inspiring views of the Alps. There’s fun in store as we meet a monk who brews beer, and visit a great town made famous by the Winter Olympics. TJ
