MY SON JACK THE ROYAL MARINE

Gordon was chuffed when his son Jack joined the Royal Marines, and today he reveals he’s now away on active service. ‘I can’t tell you how proud I am of him. I always insisted my kids find their passion in life, and Jack did exactly that,’ he says.

He admits he balked at the notoriously gruelling training procedure, and suggests

Jack might have had it harder than some, given his father’s notoriety. ‘I think for any kid to embrace that level of discipline, at 19, is great. Refreshing. To see what they put him through –

Celebrating Jack joining the Marines with the rest of the family – (l-r) Holly, Tilly, Tana, Oscar and Megan not to mention the unfortunate things he went through in training with the surname Ramsay – was quite something. ‘To be honest, he didn’t tell me too much about it because he knew he just had to take it on the chin. It’s a worry now in terms of how active he is and what he’s doing. But the most important thing for me is that the guy has found his passion. I’ve always insisted they had to do that.’
