Ioan Gruffudd plays C.S. Forester’s Navy man in the first of a repeat for these fun adaptations. It begins as Hornblower (left) boards his first vessel at 17; a nervous, serious sort struck with seasickness, he faces a steep learning curve – but by the end of this story, he is well on his way.
