LONG LOST FAMILY

9PM, ITV ★★★★

In the last of the series, we meet Julie, who was taken out of school and forced to give up her child for adoption, but has one memory of him – bathing and feeding – that she still treasures. The team help Julie to find Steven, who seems like a lovely chap, and also seek to reunite a woman with her sisters. Susanne (right, centre, with found sister Donna Weeks and niece Lorraine Wilson) was raised by grandparents who would occasionally lock her in a cupboard under the stairs, and it was during one of these grim stints that she overheard a family secret.

JAY AND DOM’S HOME FIX

3.45PM, BBC1 ★★★

Jay Blades and Dominic Chinea begin a new series of DIY tips, with some coming straight from The Repair Shop duo and others from the BBC archive – look out for some composting advice from Monty Don. From Jay and Dom, there’s a Blue Peter-style guide to refreshing an old vase, and a handy approach to recycled shelving.

WOULD I LIE TO YOU?

8.30PM, BBC1 ★★★★

The presenter AJ Odudu and the comedians Joel Dommett, Sindhu Vee and Alex Horne try to pass off lies as truth in this new episode of the reliably funny panel show. AJ has an amusing story about Lady Gaga, while team captain David Mitchell has the most ‘David Mitchell’ story imaginable about a book signing.

DIY SOS: THE BIG BUILD

9PM, BBC1 ★★★★ Laurence Llewelyn-bowen and the team swoop into help a very deserving family in this emotional Big Build. Two of Jan and Lucy’s five children need 70 hours of dialysis a week, and it’s a four-hour round trip to the hospital, so, amazingly, the team instal a home dialysis centre that changes their lives.
