10 YEARS AGO – CORRIE

Steve Mcdonald won £5,000 at blackjack and gave it to Dev Alahan (pictured, left, with Steve). Steve’s wife Becky had stolen the same amount from Dev’s shop when she and Steve wanted a child and Becky’s half-sister Kylie offered to sell them her son.

15 YEARS AGO – EASTENDERS

Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth, pictured) ‘died’ in a car crash in South Africa and her son Ben was reunited with his dad, Phil Mitchell. It later transpired Kathy had faked her death as part of an insurance scam – she’s currently alive and well and living in Walford.

20 YEARS AGO – EMMERDALE

Policewoman Angie Reynolds wasn’t thinking straight after finding out about her husband Sean’s affair with Lady Tara Oakwell. Devastated and lonely, she began a passionate and ill-fated fling with criminal Cain Dingle (pictured).
