KEN BRUCE 9.30AM, RADIO 2 ★★★★

The Nashville-based rock band Kings Of Leon is made up of men from the Followill family. One of them, lead singer Caleb, joins Ken this week to play his Tracks Of My Years, and to share news of the Followill blokes’ long-awaited eighth album, out this month, called When You See Yourself.

TOP OF THE WORLD 2.15PM, RADIO 4 ★★★

This is a bit odd. Gloria, a relationship therapist, has a chart-topping podcast and an unusual approach to her work. She takes troubled clients for tricky walks up high mountains. We listen in as the glib Gloria takes an unhappy couple up the rugged slopes of Cadair Idris, where their secrets are exposed. It’s not funny enough to be a parody, is impossible to take seriously, yet is written by Hugh Costello, who usually gets it spoton when writing radio dramas.

JUST A MINUTE 6.30PM, RADIO 4 ★★★★

The long-running comedy panel game goes global this evening as

Sue Perkins presents the show to an audience, hooked up to remote recording technology, around the world. Stephen Fry, Paul Merton, Jenny Eclair and Desiree Burch are poised to unleash a torrent of words on a given subject, while avoiding hesitation, repetition or deviation.

THE CLASSIC FM CONCERT 8PM, CLASSIC FM ★★★

John Suchet is spoilt for choice as he puts together a selection of music for St David’s Day. Welsh singers and musicians – including Bryn Terfel, Katherine Jenkins, Aled Jones and Catrin Finch – feature, as well as music by Welsh composers. The programme ends with the pure and precise harmonies of the choir Tenebrae, singing Peace, written by Welsh composer Paul Mealor. SJ
