★★★★★ This sequel to the 2019 nature series tells stories of the wild animals of Africa’s Serengeti with a dramatic flair, and family groups are at its heart. From a leopard single mum (right) to close-knit baboon parents, zebra stallion feuds to deadly tensions in a pride of lions, these animals do what they must to protect their families and their status – and face further challenges from the floods that are intensifying year on year. It’s beautifully filmed, with the richness of the landscapes combined with high-definition close-ups and stunning aerial shots.

THE SECRET WORLD OF BISCUITS 8PM, CH4

Harry and Jack Williams’s downbeat drama, Julien and Emma (Tcheky Karyo and Fiona Shaw) rally to stop another terrorist atrocity from unfolding. Julien upheld his promise to Emma, but the truth has been a bitter pill to swallow. And, as Emma faces up to that truth, Baptiste has his own loss to confront.
