from the 16th-century English composer John Sheppard’s Cantate Mass, plus a setting from the Missa Papae Marcelli by the Renaissanc­e composer Palestrina.

Last week on Radio 3’s In Tune, we had a chance to hear a session of music from the celebrated ensemble Barokksoli­stene, led by the Norwegian violinist Bjarte Eike. Their signature project is The Alehouse Sessions and tonight, they will be joined by baritone Thomas Guthrie as they re-create the music and atmosphere of 17thcentur­y London taverns in this concert from Middle Temple Hall.

ROSIE JONES: BOX TICKER TOO 11PM, RADIO 4 ★★★

The comedian Rosie Jones has a form of cerebral palsy that slows her speech. She uses this slowness to add punch to her act, sometimes starting a routine with, ‘As you can tell from my voice (long pause), I suffer from being northern.’ Tonight, she and fellow stand-up Joe Sutherland share memories of the liberation of coming out about their sexuality.
