PICK OF THE DAY
YOU DON’T KNOW ME
9PM, BBC1 ★★★★
This four-part crime drama, an urban neo-noir, opens in a courtroom during a murder trial as the prosecution sums up its case. It’s then over to the accused, Hero (Samuel Adewunmi), who, in his own words, explains why he is not guilty. The drama then unfolds in flashback – and this first episode is all about a woman. Kyra (Sophie Wilde) enters and leaves Hero’s life, triggering a chain of events that will lead to the death of drug dealer Jamil (Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, right, with Adewunmi) and to Hero’s day in court. Continues tomorrow.
