This upbeat new contest has four judges – Sheridan Smith, Beverley Knight (right), Jason Manford and Queen front man Adam Lambert – who all know their way around a tune, and opentheshowwithabelter

of a group performance with host Olly Murs. Then, four trios of contestants undergo dramatic transformations into pop icons and compete for a place in the final. It’s enormous fun, recalling the classic show Stars In Their Eyes with its incredible makeovers and strong vocals, plus a judging panel who are enthusiastic, positive and not a bit nasty.

THE MASKED SINGER 7PM, ITV

The colourful craziness ends tonight as the contest reaches the grand final and a winner

is crowned. There have been a few surprises along the way (although no one was fooled by Michael Owen as Doughnuts), and there are sure to be more in store as the last three celebs standing suit up and sing their socks – and masks – off.

MATT BAKER: OUR FARM IN THE DALES 7.30PM, CH4 ★★★

Matt and the Baker family get ready for the spring lambing season at the start of this new series, which follows year two on the farm. Matt’s mum is recovering well, but she and his dad still face challenges getting things done. Step up Matt, wife Nicola and their two children for another busy year.

This returning series explores life in and around the beautiful national parks of Wales: the Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia and the Pembrokeshire coast. Tonight, we meet a coastal artist who works against the tide, and follow a motherand-daughter team taking on an intimidating rock climb on Anglesey. SIMONE ANDREWS
