The character created by Len Deighton, and brought to the big screen by Michael Caine as Harry Palmer, is given a bit of a makeover for this six-part Cold War thriller. Harry, played by Joe Cole, is younger, but just as smart and bespectacled. An Army corporal in West Berlin, Harry (right) is on the make, but about to be pulled into a dark international plot. Wallowing in military prison after being caught selling contraband, he is approached by Dalby (Tom Hollander), from a secretive intelligence agency, a situation he soon twists to his advantage.

Cee – a model of Nigerian heritage, who has albinism – sits for American photographic artist Christy Lee Rogers. But rather than sit, Cee Cee swims for her. Rogers creates stunning underwater images that resemble Baroque paintings, and her portrait of Cee Cee is simply mind-blowing.
