★★★★ The ever glamorous Joan Bakewell puts together a guest list for an ideal dinner party. All the guests are dead, but thanks to technical wizardry, they still talk. While Joan gets the meal ready, Kirk Douglas, Tennessee Williams, Louise Bourgeois and Barbaras Castle and Windsor gossip. With such a lively guest list, it’s not surprising that one or two tantrums are thrown during the course of the dinner.

The roof is back on The O2 after Storm Eunice ripped into it, but a wagon-load of country stars have been ripping it off again. Bob Harris and Tebey host on the second day of this country music

festival, featuring Kip Moore, Russell Dickerson and Miranda Lambert. Bob will also get some backstage interviews, plus live sets from a line-up of big stars.

The Beyondness Of Things by the composer John Barry, famed for his Bond themes, is full of space and mystery. Moira includes this meditative piece in today’s edition of her show. You can hear Barry’s trademark chords and orchestrat­ion, but the work, which wasn’t written for a film, has its own identity.

MY LIFE IN A MIXTAPE 9PM, RADIO 2

Kiefer Sutherland, the Hollywood actor, musician, director and occasional rodeo rider, takes us on a musical journey through his life. He picks tracks that have had a big impact on him, from his childhood to the present day.
