Dig deep!

GARDENERS’ WORLD 8PM, BBC2

Monty Don shows us how to get plants for free, while Rachel de Thame visits a garden in Kent, where clever planning has allowed the owner to extend the season. There’s more ingenuity in northwest London, where we meet an allotmenteer who grows unusual vegetables and uses them to cook up a storm.

GRAYSON’S ART CLUB 8PM, CH4

A new series for the cheery art show that lifted spirits in the early days of the pandemic. Positive vibes clearly remain high on the agenda as the theme for tonight’s first batch of public submissions is love, and the sunny Bill Bailey is the first guest in the studio. Also popping up is artist Ai Weiwei.
