FALKLANDS WAR: THE UNTOLD STORY
★★★★
In April 1982, Argentinian forces invaded the British overseas territory of the Falkland Islands, and Britain was at war. This documentary marks the 40th anniversary of the conflict, which was the nation’s biggest amphibious operation since D-day. It was the making of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (right), but was a hard-won victory. Along with ground troops and senior commanders, we hear from Michael Rose, head of the SAS in the Falklands, who talks for the first time about how our forces came close to defeat.
