I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE 9.05PM, BBC1

★★★★

Forgive the dreadful title, this show is a lot of fun, and thoroughly addictive. Making quite an entrance, Paddy Mcguinness is your host as players try to win £10,000 by guessing whether six mystery singers can belt out a tune, before they’ve sung a single note. Players are helped, or hindered, by a panel made up of Amanda Holden, Alison Hammond and Jimmy Carr, plus a special guest – this week it’s solid gold Spandau Ballet legend Tony Hadley, with whom the final singer will duet, for good or ill. It’s the perfect Saturday-night show to play along with at home. Can you guess the soaring songbirds from the tuneless turkeys?

LATER – WITH JOOLS HOLLAND 9.30PM, BBC2

★★★★

Keeping the line-up as eclectic as ever, Jools introduces Raye, best-known for her vocals on thumping dancefloor-fillers, who sings songs from her upcoming solo debut. There’s also upbeat French pop rock from Phoenix, before The Beautiful South’s Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott slow the tempo down. Making their

Later debuts are soulful folk singer Angeline Morrison and lyrical Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy.

THE JONATHAN ROSS SHOW 10PM, ITV

★★★★

Back behind his desk for a brand-new series, Wossy welcomes more big names to his studio for chat and music. His first guests are Lioness Chloe Kelly and droll comedian Romesh Ranganathan, and there’s a performance by the unpredictable Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi.

OLIVIA NEWTONJOHN AT THE BBC 10.15PM, BBC2

★★★★ Among the highlights featured in this compilation of clips from the BBC archives is Olivia’s appearance at the 1974 Eurovision

Song Contest, where, representing the UK, she was pitted against a Swedish group called Abba. We all know how that ended, but over a career spanning more than five decades, Olivia (left) had many more highs and hits. She was raised in Australia, but was adopted into the hearts of

Brits and Americans as well; this poignant film celebrates her wonderful voice and the beaming light she brought to every performance.
