INTERIOR DESIGN MASTERS WITH ALAN CARR 8PM, BBC1 ★★★

It’s the quarter-final, and the remaining four designers will be working in teams of two to tackle dated accommodation in a popular wedding venue on the banks of Rutland Water. One lodge must be fit for a bridal party, and the other must suit the groom’s nearest and dearest. You might think you know where this is going, but the brief is to appeal to a broad range of guests – and above all, to avoid cliches. Back at her Brighton base, Michelle Ogundehin will send one home.

INSIDE THE FACTORY 8PM, BBC2 ★★★

Last May, Gregg Wallace went to Northallerton in north Yorkshire to lend a hand at the Vale Of Mowbray pork pie factory, which had been producing these savoury snacks since 1928. He followed production of the 75g snack-sized version; the plant produced some 425,000 of them each week. Since Gregg’s visit, the company has undergone some big changes, but it’s still fascinating to see how these traditional treats are made. Cherry Healey is on hand with advice on making piccalilli and vegan shortcrust pastry, while Ruth Goodman explores the history of the stargazey pie.

HIGHLAND COPS 9PM, BBC2 ★★★★

Around 100 people are reported missing to Police Scotland every day, and for the officers in the Highland Division, searching the rugged terrain poses unique risks. And so, when a man goes missing in the wilderness around Golspie, north of Inverness, PC Adam Naismith knows he can count on his partner – a German shepherd called Wolf – to keep them safe. Three days into the search, the case takes an intriguing turn: the man is wanted by police in England. Plus, CID officers go undercover in Inverness to bust a county lines drugs operation, Sgt Gordon Mckay helps a stranded tourist on Skye who has sustained a nasty injury while hill-walking, and wildlife officer Dan Sutherland (above) investigates a possible crime against otters.

BEYOND THE YORKSHIRE FARM: REUBEN & CLIVE 9PM, CH5 ★★★

Picking up from where it left off in December, the series returns with Reuben Owen tackling the challenges of winter during his third season in the digging business, helped by his dad Clive, girlfriend

Sarah and best mate Tom. Over the summer, Reuben created a series of ponds for Cumbrian carpenter Robin Davies; these caught the attention of Robin’s neighbour Niall Wildwoode, who has commissioned something similar. But first, Niall wants the team to mine for clay on his land to build a home. When the teenagers return to finish the pool project, the digger is frozen in place – so Reuben and Tom have to get out a sledgehammer.

COLIN FROM ACCOUNTS 10PM, BBC2 ★★★★

Married actors Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer wrote and star in this quirky new Australian romcom, which has at its heart that traditional ‘will they, won’t they?’ set up. Brammall plays the deeply flawed Gordon, whose day takes a turn for the absurd in this first episode when, driving to work one morning, he loses control of his car after the equally flawed Ashley (Dyer) flashes at him. A stray dog is injured, setting off a convoluted and often funny chain of events that leads these two into a relationship. Will it work? And who is Colin? He’s the dog, of course!
