After deserting from the German army at the end of the Second World War, all Heinrich wants is to find his daughter and escape the conflict, but that’s going to be easier said than done when he finds himself caught in a remote village between SS troops and hidden treasure. Crammed with gun battles, explosions and scenery-chewing bad guys, this German-language adventure (above) is a tight and exuberant action movie of the kind that even Hollywood maestros such as Quentin Tarantino would be proud. ALONE TOGETHER LOCKDOWN ROMANCE
When the pandemic hits, New York food critic June (writerdirector Katie Holmes) plans to ride out lockdown in a rented upstate house in the middle of nowhere. Two things go wrong with this plan. First, her boyfriend suddenly decides to stay in the city. And second, the house has been double-booked and she finds herself sharing the space with the newly single Charlie (Hard
Sun’s Jim Sturgess). But hey, it’ll all be fine. Surely lockdown can’t last more than a couple of weeks, right? Holmes and Sturgess (below) are hugely likeable as the mismatched pair slowly falling for each other in this sweet and loveable romance that almost everyone will be able to identify with.

LYLE, LYLE CROCODILE A VERY VOCAL HOUSEGUEST

When the Primms move into a Manhattan house, the last thing they expect to discover living in the attic is a crocodile, let alone one that can sing. Paddington fans will love what follows – Lyle (above) is rendered in CGI and voiced by singer Shawn Mendes, who makes the most of a great score penned by the team behind The Greatest Showman. Throw in a supporting turn from Javier Bardem and you have a slick and enjoyable live-action adventure. From Friday, Sky/now
