Host Matt is having a great time befriendin­g the contestant­s, but which of them will impress the most and be chosen to sleep in the Grade Ii-listed farmhouse?

★★★★ The Nirvana front man has gained almost mythical status since he took his own life 30 years ago, but this new documentar­y uses unseen archive footage to demystify that sad event. At 10.10pm, watch When Nirvana Came To Britain to discover how the US group hit the big time in the UK, making ‘grunge culture’ mainstream with their unforgetta­ble album Nevermind. And don’t miss former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl rocking Reading Festival in a broadcast of Foo Fighters’ 2019 headline set at 11.10pm.

HOW ABBA WON EUROVISION 9.30PM, CH5 ★★★

‘Brighton 1974 – it changed musical history,’ says one of the Abba authoritie­s in this programme, which celebrates 50 years since the then unknown Swedish quartet stormed the singing competitio­n with Waterloo – and became internatio­nal stars overnight. But this reveals how the performanc­e nearly didn’t happen, as the group’s first Eurovision attempt, with entry Ring Ring, flopped. We get the whole inside story from musicians who have played alongside Abba as well as former Eurovision contestant­s and experts.
