Dear Jonathan, Please can you write about the alignment between Uranus and Pluto, which continues until 2015. I have found two articles on the internet that scare me. Raffaella Dear Raffaella, Both articles are clearly written by knowledgeable astrologers yet both express strong political views. As I said in this space on Monday, I question the right of any astrologer, including myself, to hold political views. Practitioners of this profession have a moral obligation to be objective or, at least, to declare their own bias. Tomorrow, I’ll say more about Uranus and Pluto and I’ll try to be balanced. ARIES Mar 21 — Apr 20 PARTS of some cities

have a funny whiff when you first visit them. Locals, though, soon get used to the smell of the sewage works. It’s the same with noise. We develop inner filters and stop hearing the sounds that are all around us. Until they stop. Suddenly, we recognise real silence. Or we find that an offensive odour has gone. Then there’s no longer a need to ignore it! You have got used to something undesirable. Finally, it’s moving out of your life. That’s a cause for celebration. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5601. TAURUS Apr 21 — May 21 DO YOU need to take it all so seriously? Does it matter as much as you think? Aren’t there easier ways to get what you need? Wouldn’t you be better off letting a few standards slip? In some ways, you are being unreasonable. That’s OK. Unreasonable is a reasonable thing to be! There is no law that says we have to be logical. It is, though, one thing to enjoy feeling impassioned and another to be tortured by needs you might be wiser trying to transcend. A compromise is not as elusive as you fear. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5602. GEMINI May 22 — June 22 IF YOU dusted

your room last week, why do you need to do it again? Because dust recurs, it begins to collect once more — even if you are creating no mess at all. In that respect, dust is very much like doubt. No matter how thoroughly you purge yourself of the stuff, it comes creeping back in. Today, you just need to get rid of a little more unnecessary anxiety that has been quietly accumulating in the background. It’s no big deal — unless you want to turn it into one. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5603. CANCER June 23 — July 23 ‘ SHIPPAISURU kanoseinoaru monowa, shippaisuru.’ So goes the old Japanese saying. In the West, there’s a similar expression about the inevitability of disaster: Murphy’s Law. This idea may seem to have universal popularity, but that on its own does not make it universally true. You are feeling concerned because something seems to be going wrong. Don’t be so concerned. It could yet turn out very well indeed. Be a bit more optimistic and give it half a chance. You’re not as stuck as you fear. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5604. LEO July 24 — Aug 23 IN THE good old days, doctors used to advertise cigarettes. Perhaps those old days weren’t so good after all. What seems unthinkable now was commonplace in the not-so-distant past. Though we have all moved on in many ways, a few entrenched attitudes remain. As with social norms, so with some of your own habits. You suspect that an old idea is no longer appropriate. Don’t hang on to it just because it seems so familiar. This is a change that’s timely and right. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5605. VIRGO Aug 24 — Sep 23 CONVENTIONAL doctors treat physical causes for physical symptoms. Unless they see dramatic suggestions of disturbance, they rarely stop to consider how a patient’s frame of mind might render them susceptible to a particular illness. Many, indeed, scoff at the very idea. But there are hidden connections between our feelings, thoughts and physical state. Look beyond the obvious if you want to heal a wound. A seemingly subtle side effect of a situation could well be central to it. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5606. LIBRA Sep 24 — Oct 23 THERE may be no use crying over spilled milk. But that doesn’t mean you can swing to the other extreme and just leave it sloshing around on the floor. Milk swiftly turns sour and leaves a lingering odour. Mop it up while it’s wet, no matter how dispirited you may feel. Deal with what you’d prefer to ignore as soon as it’s possible. Neither shed tears for the past nor try to rewrite history. Just move on and enjoy the one kind of milk that can neither spill nor spoil. The milk of human kindness. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Buying a ticket then failing to check if your numbers have come up. Have you any idea how many prizes go unclaimed? Far better to be an obsessive optimist than a careless pessimist. I am not predicting a lottery win. That requires a miracle, not just a hopeful outlook. But while you may not think there’s much chance of something working out well today, how can you know for sure? This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5608. SAGITTARIUS Nov 23 — Dec 21 ASTROLOGERS

move in interesting circles. We rub shoulders with healers, visionaries, mystics and psychics. Sometimes, such people call themselves ‘light workers’. That word always makes me feel edgy. I have never met a self-declared ‘dark worker’. What if the people who wreak most havoc are the ones who feel sure they are working on behalf of ‘the light’? A little more doubt and a little less arrogance could make the world much sweeter. Watch what you assume. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5609. CAPRICORN Dec 22 — Jan 20 WHEN we watch old horror films, it is often with amusement. Look at that monster stomping around. You can see the strings, the paint — or the dodgy modelling techniques. When the first films of this kind came out, viewers were terrified. But yesterday’s cutting-edge effects are today’s standard features. With this in mind, can we talk about something that currently looks scary to you? Seek some way to make it less believable. You won’t have to look hard. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5610. AQUARIUS Jan 21 — Feb 19 ONLY one vessel has ever reached the bottom of the Earth’s deepest ocean. The bathyscaphe Trieste was designed by an Aquarian, Auguste Piccard, and crewed by his son, Jacques, and a navy officer called Don Walsh. After a four-hour dive, 35,000ft down, their landing stirred up so much sediment the ocean was like ‘a bowl of milk’. If only they’d stuck around long enough for the water to clear! You’re reaching deep into the bravest part of your heart. Be patient. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different. Call me for a forecast that could change your life: 0906 751 5611. PISCES Feb 20 — Mar 20 ‘EVER has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.’ So wrote my favourite poet, Kahlil Gibran. His most famous work, The Prophet, is being made into a film. I quote him, not because something has gone from your life, but because there’s something in your life that deserves far more respect than it is getting. By your action, appreciation and sensitivity, you can prevent a moment of regrettable separation. Tread delicately. This is a leap year and today is the Leap Day. Dare to do something different.
