Diana’s niece and a royal send-up

- By Sam Greenhill

THEY are not the sort of poses her aunt Princess Diana would have dared to strike for the cameras.

However, like the rest of today’s social networking generation, Celia Mccorquodale is clearly not noted for her discretion.

Celia, 21, has posted a wide range of pictures on her Facebook site.

One shows her making light of her royal connections, apparently posing as the Queen in a grey wig and headscarf sitting on the lap of a male friend who is wearing a Prince Philip mask.

Another shows a man drinking a cocktail from her cleavage. Celia is the youngest child of lady Sarah Mccorquodale, 57, the late princess’s elder sister. If her public photo album is anything to go by, William and Harry’s cousin embraces life to the full.

She shows off her pierced tongue in dozens of pictures – one of which shows her clutching four wine bottles at once – as she parties with former schoolmates and friends from leeds University.

On her gap year, Celia visited Vietnam, Cuba, Mexico and Peru – where she cavorted naked with friends at the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. They posed for a series of nude photos at the UNESCO World Heritage Site and then posted them on Facebook.

Elsewhere, Celia, who was a guest at last year’s royal wedding, is pictured performing an athletic backwards dive at a waterfall beauty spot. In another cheery pose, she apparently drops a fish into her mouth over lunch on Trinidad.

Among her ‘likes’ and interests listed on Facebook are various charities and polo clubs, and a jokey group entitled: ‘Flashing your boobs in an attempt to get things for free’.

A source said Celia worked hard at school and was determined to enjoy herself on her gap year, adding: ‘She goes on normal uni nights out but deep down she’s a sensible girl at heart.’ Celia grew up with her brother and sister George and Emily, now both in their late 20s, at the family home in lincolnshire. At the funeral of Diana’s mother Frances Shand Kydd, in 2004, Celia was one of three granddaughters to give readings from the Bible.
