many well-wishers who have sent thousands of messages.’ Muamba will continue to be monitored by doctors and has been fitted with an internal defibrillator pacemaker in case he has more problems after his heart stopped beating for 78 minutes. Bolton have urged Muamba to take things slowly, though there is growing confidence that he will play again and could even take part in light training before the end of the season. Coyle said: ‘You cannot rule anything out considering where Fabrice has come from in such a short space of time. ‘He came from the Congo, he’s had to fight and scratch all his life. muamba said: ‘I am naturally very pleased to be discharged from hospital and would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to every single member of staff at the London Chest Hospital who have played a part in my care.

‘Their dedication, professionalism and expertise are amazing and I will forever be in their debt. I also wish to say thank you to all the
