Stones play first gigs in five years

-

THE Rolling Stones yesterday confirmed they are to perform their first live shows for five years.

The band will play two nights at London’s O2 arena on November 25 and 29 to mark their 50th anniversary.

However, fans face shelling out hundreds of pounds to catch a glimpse of the rock veterans at some of the most expensive gigs of all time.

Standard tickets will cost between £90 and £375, while ‘VIP hospitality’ will be priced at £950 and will include ‘premium tickets’, a champagne reception and a three-course dinner.

The group will also play at the Prudential Centre in New Jersey in the US on December 13 and 15.

Sir Mick Jagger said: ‘Everyone loves a celebration, and London and New York are two good places to do it in.’
