Small lifestyle changes that can make a big difference
PEOPLE who go to the cinema at least once a month are 62 per cent less likely to report anxiety and depression, according to data from the British Household Panel Study.
Dr S.C. Noah Uhrig, a researcher from the University of Essex who analysed the findings, says movies let us feel emotions we don’t usually experience in the controlled and safe environment of a cinema. This, he says, may help us see ourselves and our problems more clearly.
