VITAMIN K is vital for the normal clotting of blood — low levels can mean you’ll bleed too much from a wound or cut. The nutrient is also involved in building bones. Good levels may mean post-menopausal women are less likely to suffer a fracture of the hip. Other sources of vitamin K include salad and green leafy vegetables.
