Why the wily night raiders went ape

THiS is the story of a farmer in South Africa who was plagued by a troop of baboons — and how he made sure they would never return. They raided his orchard every night — until he finally came up with a plan. He set a trap and captured one of them.

The following evening, he smothered it from head to foot in luminous paint and, when the troop arrived after dark, he released it.

The last thing he saw was the baboons in full flight, disappearing over the hill with the released baboon vainly trying to catch up with them.

needless to say, they never returned. Maybe they are still running for safety.
