Today’sPoem:

-

I’m glad that today’s nothing special, It isn’t a Bank Hol or such, I don’t have a pressing appointment, A deadline or anything much. I’m simply maxed out on excitement, I’m up to my limit in buzz. All of the hustle and bustle Has left me cocooned in a fuzz. So, ‘Hello’ to routine and boring, You’re just what I need for a bit. I’ve got to throw out those old candles ‘Cos all of the ends have been lit. It’s good to have fun and enjoyment To brighten my life now and then, But, oh, there’s a lot to be said for Knowing just where I am, when! I reckon my mojo has mosied, My get-up-and-go’s on the rocks. I’m dreaming of slippers and cocoa And an evening of soaps on the box. It’s coming to something when weekends Become an endurancestyle test, Just to be got through till morning Then — bliss — back to work for a rest.
