Evicted at 83

-

A lATViAn woman who has just arrived in Britain is demanding a larger home for her family (Mail).

in our town recently, a lady of 83 who has lived all her life in a small terrace house, worked as a midwife and lost her husband who had been a coal miner, has been evicted from her home and the house repossessed because she had missed a few mortgage payments.

This elderly lady, known as grace, is a wonderful, kind person who spends a lot of time in her small greenhouse growing flower plants for the local care home or other people in need.

How can the people involved in her eviction be so cruel and unjust as to allow this kind old lady to become homeless and wander the streets?

The bailiffs came one day, evicted her and changed the locks, leaving her in the street. The estate agents involved were approached by people concerned about the lady’s welfare but were entirely unconcerned.

The government should step in and protect a vulnerable elderly person like grace instead of trying to please immigrants with large families who have never paid into the system but expect to be given everything.
