Aside from his life as front man of Queen, Mercury e embarked on a series of solo projects which are explored in this Imagine documentary, along with the private man behind the public persona. Having said ‘I hate talking to people I don’t really know,’ he was more relaxed being interviewed by the likes of friend and journalist David Wigg; archive footage from those interviews helps to paint this intimate portrait.
