Zaha at centre of country row
IV IVORY COAST plan to snatch Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha from under England’s noses. The 19-year-old, who has played a key role in Palace’s rise to fourth in the Championship, was born in Ivory Coast but moved to England as a child. However, the teenager (above) — who is set to play for England U21 against Serbia tonight — is still eligible to play for the country of his birth as he has not played a senior competitive match for the Three Lions. Ivory Coast have long been aware of Zaha’s talent but have so far resisted luring the youngster away from England. Sportsmail revealed last week how Arsenal have joined the race to land £12million-rated Zaha. Manchester City and Liverpool are also keen.
