JENKINSON CHOOSES ENGLAND OVER FLYING FINNS

CARL JENKINSON (right) has committed his future to England ahead of Finland after speaking to Roy Hodgson. ‘He didn’t take a lot of convincing,’ said Hodgson. ‘We had a problem with Kyle Walker, so we called Carl up. I invited him to train knowing he couldn’t take part in this game, and that gave me the chance to ask him the question. ‘He had to make a decision. We’re very interested in him even if the competition is tougher to get him into the England team rather than the Finland team. He made it clear he wanted to play for England.’
