Is there really a return trip to the hereafter?

- ADELINE ELLIOT, Galashiels, Borders.

EBEN ALEXANDER’S near-death experience of Heaven (Mail) or, as some would say, a higher vibration where we all go when we die, is by no means unusual. It’s an experience that has been reported by adults and children throughout the world. That a neuro-surgeon has now also reported the experience is important because it helps to make the claim more believable for many of us. A recent television series on the subject by National Geographical left little doubt as to the sincerity of those recalling a near-death experience. Many telling their stories were in tears as, in some cases, they reported feeling very sad when they were told ‘it was not their time’ and that they had to return to Earth. However, our time on Earth is a ‘learning time’ only. If all the different countries abandoned war against their neighbour, began to look after planet Earth instead of destroying its resources and became more spiritual, we could have Heaven on Earth, too. Sadly, that doesn’t look likely to happen.

R. SPURGEON, Bournemouth, Dorset. HAS this man seen Heaven (Mail)? I’m currently reading a book, called Saved By The Light by Dannion Brinkley, about a similar experience but with even more details. He was struck by lightning while on the telephone in 1975. Among other things, he has told of events which would shake the world: ‘Of my revelations, 95 have already come to pass.’ In all, he had an amazing experience. He’s supported by Dr Raymond Moody who studies and has written about Near Death Experiences.
